Home is on the Hilltop: Welcoming Georgetown’s Next Class

The days of being a prospective or accepted Georgetown student may seem like forever ago to those of us who know what a Hoya is or who can rattle off an impressive list of Georgetown-related acronyms. But, most Hoyas distinctly remember how influential their Georgetown Admissions Ambassador Program weekend was in deciding to attend Georgetown or how one tour guide made them feel like Georgetown was the right school for them.

Famous for their balloon arches, bright smiles and welcoming words, GAAP volunteers make it their job to answer the question, “What is Georgetown?” for prospective students. GAAP staff and Blue and Gray tour guides are passionate about presenting the true Georgetown experience and giving prospective students the chance to explore Georgetown. GAAP weekends and tours of campus are a time to view Georgetown from a new perspective and give admitted students the opportunity to discover what Georgetown means to them.
